“So submit yourselves to the one true God and fight against the devil and his schemes. If you do, he will run away in failure.” -James 4:7 VOICE

I can remember one time in my life, when I literally ran for my life. I knew that if my 4’11 stature didn’t establish some sort of aerodynamics, that I was surely going to be dog food! Thankfully, the dog was on an extremely long leash that just couldn’t be seen in the grass!

The Online Etymology Dictionary dates the word, “dangerous”, back to the 1200s, when it meant to be “difficult to deal with”. In my eyes, the dog was definitely dangerous and difficult to deal with! Yet, the roles could have been reversed…

When Satan comes knocking on the doors of our lives with menacing smoke screens and scarecrow costumes, we can do two things:

  1. Prohibit him from our lives, minds, spirits and emotions.
  2. Send him packing with all the blessings and love that God has lavished upon us!

Being dangerous isn’t always bad!

P.S. Tom and Jerry was my brother & I’s favorite TV show as kids. Funny how we were just content with the visuals and dramatic instrumentals!

Until Sunday,
