Was anybody else fascinated by snow globes when they were kids? I always found it ‘magical’ that I could shake them up and then watch the glittery snow slowly cascade down.

You can look at your life as if it is snow globe. You have your spirituality, such as your beliefs and relationship with God, which are stationary. Then you have your carnality, such as your emotions and human relationships, which are (relatively) unstable. When the carnal elements of your life are agitated, it is hard to differentiate between what is fixed and what is unsecured. However, thanks to gravity, we know that whatever goes up, must come back down!

It is at the settling point, when frenzies come to an end, that you can clearly see who and what your anchors are! Even the prodigal son, had a moment of settling amongst the lavish lifestyle that he lived and lost.

“When he finally came to his senses, he said to himself, ‘At home even the hired men have food enough and to spare, and here I am, dying of hunger!” Luke 15:17 TLB

If you are in a “snow glow storm”, I pray that you will the have peace to hunker down, knowing that God is ever close, ever present and ever loving…

Until Sunday,

“God is ever close, ever present and ever loving…” Thank you for those words. What a wonderful reminder.
