Anomalous Darlings reached the 1 year and 11-month milestone…thanks for all the support ♥! My apologies for missing Thursday. As an inhabitant of the South, I was a bit preoccupied trying to stay dry and grab the last little bit of Hurricane Florence cupcakes J.

hupsélos. This word has become extremely important to me in the last couple of months. According to Bible Hub, hupsélos is pronounced as “hoop-say-los’” and is Greek for “high, lofty”.

“I don’t think the way you think. The way you work isn’t the way I work.” God’s Decree. “For as the sky soars high above earth, so the way I work surpasses the way you work, and the way I think is beyond the way you think. Just as rain and snow descend from the skies and don’t go back until they’ve watered the earth, Doing their work of making things grow and blossom, producing seed for farmers and food for the hungry, So will the words that come out of my mouth not come back empty-handed. They’ll do the work I sent them to do, they’ll complete the assignment I gave them.” -Isaiah 55:8-11 MSG

When I battle spiritually, and my mind begins to fail, I feel The Holy Spirit whisper, ‘hupsélos’ and that is my signal to go higher than the pressure…higher than the pain…higher than the problem. Higher thoughts of God’s Faithfulness and Jesus’ Love won’t fall out of the sky and plop themselves into our brains. No, we must go to them and make that conscious decision to ascend to God’s realm of perfect peace, great grace and superior strength.

When we make that choice to crash our own pity party and attend His praise party, God meets us there…with the fattest calf and oldest wine!

P.S. Credit to my mother for capturing this beautiful Tiger Moth!

Until Thursday,
