Great Burdens to Bear

Great Burdens to Bear.JPG

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., once said, “I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.” And that statement could not be more valid, but there is also something else that is equally too great to bear: life.

Life involves a lot of people, and things, both personally and professionally. And with so many aspects working with each other, situations are bound to go awry! Not everything that happens in life is good, just like not everything that happens in life is bad.

Carrying the burdens of life, which often involves circumstances that we cannot change is taxing and exhausting. We were never designed to toil and figure everything out. We were created to worship God, and spread His love.

I’m learning that I can’t carry the weight of my past, present or future, whether it be decisions I made or decisions yet to be made. I have to lay all the “should haves”, “maybes” and “what ifs” down, and cast them on God.

God cannot propel us to fly on His grace and love, if we are ladened with worthless burdens. Jesus has already died for our freedom…He’s just waiting for us to get up from the broken chains…

Until Thursday,
