A Light that CANNOT be Dimmed

Today is the first Thursday of 2017! Five days into 2017 and I am still writing 2016 instead of 2017!

A few months ago I had a dream, in which I was in a bedroom and was trying to turn off a lamp. I twisted the switch multiple times, but the lamp continued to burn brightly. I then proceeded to unplug the lamp from the wall, hoping to cut the energy source, and finally turn off the lamp. Nope. To my surprise, the lamp still stayed on! It was so peculiar that when I woke up the next morning, I could not stop thinking about it.

After pondering it myself, the Holy Spirit put in my heart that the lamp represents God’s love, and grace. And also the light within me, as a Christian.

God’s love and grace never runs out for us as we go through trials, tribulations and sin…it still persists. Nothing and nobody can separate us from His unconditional love, Romans 8:38 and grace. Even if we disconnect from God, His grace and love still stands.

The light within our lives, as Christ and the Holy Spirit resides in us, cannot be dimmed. No trials, challenges or attacks from the enemy can stop the life that Jesus died for us to obtain, and the light that God has put in us, as His sons and daughters.

Light is always there in any situation, at any time, not just at the end of the tunnel. Light is there during the day, from the sun and even present at night, from the moon. In every circumstance, there is light and that light cannot be dimmed.

I pray that you will never lose sight of hope in God and always remember that you are the light

Until Sunday,
